Only Margaret Piper's determination has kept the hope alive. In excess of 100 horses, ponies, together with donkeys, goats, ducks, geese and a rescued veal calf, now fully grown, all live happily together. Few of these unwated animals would be here today and allowed to live out their lives in comfort and dignity were it not for Margaret's tireless dedication

We started Bond County Adopt-A-Pet in June of 1992. Our board members are: Oliver Stowe, DVM, Susan Chandler, Debbie Haughland and Jim and Mary Price. Attorney William Dillow donated all his legal fees and filing fees to help get us started. Thanks to him and our board members, we have saved 2993 animals since we started. In 2004 we successfully placed 106 dogs and 5 cats into loving homes.

BONES Pet Rescue (Better Options for Neglected Strays) was formed to serve the needs of homeless, injured and abused pets. We rescue, rehabilitate and place these pets into loving homes.
Our rescued pets are kept in our homes as members of our families, they are never kept in kennels. Most of our pets have been abandoned or abused. We give them the TLC necessary to become trusting again. They are healthy, happy and well adjusted and are ready for forever homes.
