Rainbow Rescuers visit kill shelters to identify adoptable, healthy dogs with good dispositions that will soon be euthanized, usually simply due to lack of space at the shelter. The dog is spayed/neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, heartworm tested and groomed. Often dogs with special medical needs are treated and rehabilitated before adoption. Rainbow Rescues is non-profit ( 501c3), depending solely on donations to cover the above vet expenses plus any fostering, office and transport costs. Direct rescue donations are appreciated. You can also log onto www.helpingudders.com and list Rainbow Rescues as your charity of choice. And, shop at www.rescuepetstore.com. Thank you.

Raining Cats and Dogs is a no kill, non profit organization. The majority of our rescue animals are emergency cases: They have been rescued days before euthanasia at animal control, or have been taken in emaciated and covered in mange as strays, or even rescued from cars nearly hitting them

The Raleigh County Animal Rescue (RCAR) whose home base is located in Coal City, WV was active in rescuing our pet companions prior to becoming an organization in March 2003. The RCAR is a small "no-kill" organization and operates only through donations and volunteers. Currently we are dedicated to helping homeless, abandoned or abused animals. Our efforts are guided toward finding permanent homes for our animals. Along with this, we stress the importance of neutering and spaying all pets in order to maintain their good health and benefit society.
The Raleigh County Animal Rescue (RCAR), a no-kill shelter, and the Humane Society of Raleigh County (HSRC) a.k.a. Raleigh County Animal Shelter (RCAS), a kill shelter, are two totally different organizations

If you would like to volunteer a little or a lot of your time, please contact us. You are greatly needed! Our goal is to find home for orphaned domestic rats and to advocate for all rats and other animals as well. Through education and fun we can make this world a better place for these wonderful, intelligent, clean and loving animals that are the brunt of prejudice.

Ratbone Rescues is a national rescue group based out of Florida. We are dedicated to helping Rat Terriers needing new homes because of homelessness, abandonment, neglect/abuse, or illness/injury. After being brought into our fosterhome network, rescued dogs receive thorough veterinary care (vaccinations, spay/neuter, heartworm test, heartworm preventative, microchip, plus any special needs) and plenty of TLC while we work to find new, loving, permanent homes. This Petfinder site profiles Ratbone's South Central Region dogs, which are living in fosterhomes in Arkansas, Colorado, Kansas, Louisiana, Missouri, Nebraska, New Mexico, Oklahoma & Texas.(Note that the Mount Pleasant, Texas, address is for administration only; the dogs are not actually located in Mount Pleasant.)

Ratbone Rescues is a rescue group dedicated to helping Rat Terriers in need. As any breed grows in popularity, there is always the chance that some dogs will find themselves with people who don't understand their needs. When this happens, the dog is sometimes abused, neglected or abandoned. We feel a responsibility toward these unfortunate animals, and work to find new, permanent homes for them.
