Greyhound Pets of America Northwest Chapter serves Oregon, Southern Washington and Northern California.
The mission of Greyhound Pets of America-Northwest is to locate responsible, loving homes for greyhounds that fail to qualify or no longer qualify for the racetrack and to educate the public about the greyhounds, stressing their desirability as pets.
GPA-NW is a non-profit corporation and tax-exempt organization. It is a chapter of Greyhound Pets of America, a national network of Greyhound adoption groups. GPA-NW is staffed entirely by unpaid volunteers; all donations and other revenues are dedicated entirely to supporting its Greyhound adoption program.
GPA-NW welcomes volunteers from all walks of life, regardless of whether they have adopted a Greyhound. All that is required is a love of animals, and a willingness to work.

We are a Golden Retriever Rescue that loves the breed. We all have Goldens and understand what it takes to live with them. We call them the Velcro dog. If you don't want a dog who needs to have your attention, love and to serve you, then this breed is not for you

The Mason County Animal Welfare League is a small shelter in a very rural part of West Virginia. We have many wonderful dogs and cats available for adoption. We are very rescue friendly too. We try to place as many adoptable animals as possible. Please visit our website to see their pictures and descriptions. The shelter is located at 1965 Fairground Road, off Route 2, across from the Farm Museum. The map link URL gives directions to the Farm Museum because our street name does not seem to be listed on any internet map websites.

We are a high intake county shelter and need rescue help!
We are NOT a no-kill shelter. Our county commission limits us to 50 dogs and 36 cats max!
Without LOTS of rescue help and adoptions, it will be IMPOSSIBLE for us to maintain the population at this level without euthanizing.
Residents, if you need to surrender an animal, we STRONGLY SUGGEST that you reach out to rescues and no-kill shelters via Petfinder for assistance in rehoming your pet.
Rescues typically keep animals in foster homes rather than a shelter environment. This is a healthier environment and much less stressful for your pet than going into a crowded, noisy shelter.

one of only two totally privately-funded animal shelters in the State of Montana. It receives no government funds and relies solely on donations from individuals and businesses in the area to fund its operations and, to a lesser extend, on grants from animal welfare foundations.

Life Savers Animal Rescue (LSAR) is animals in urgent need. Our animals have been forgotten, rejected or abandoned for a variety of reasons and would most likely be euthanized if we did not intercede on their behalf. We believe these animals deserve a second chance at finding a lifetime guardian or caretaker to ensure they live out the rest of their lives in a caring environment

A Pets F.A.T.E. (Fair Alternative To Euthanasia) was created to help the orphaned dogs and cats in our small, rural area. We are currently the only Humane Society in our county and we are comprised of a small group of volunteers that offer our hearts and all our love to our furry friends in need.
We care for surrendered and stray dogs and cats locally and when we can, other animals in need. We are also the only purebred cat resuce in the entire region and do our best to help as many purebred cats as we can. We have many breed experienced foster homes and volunteers. All pets are vaccinated, vet checked and altered prior to adoption-- no exceptions! Our number one goal is to find that particular pet the home they were always meant to have!
