Our primary mission is to rescue pets from area shelters and veterinarians that are scheduled to be euthanized. We accept pets from owners and good-Samaritans on a SPACE available basis only. Open Paws Pet RescueWe are a group located in the Mid-South area that is dedicated to rescuing homeless dogs from neglected, helpless situations. We have rescued a few felines, bunnies and reptiles as well. We are not able to accept owner surrenders or animals from individuals. Irish Setter Rescue of North TexasUpon taking possession of a dog, the organization takes the dog to a qualified veterinary clinic for a general examination. Any identified health problems, such as ear infections, skin allergies, tumors, and other problems are diagnosed and treated. Additionally, unless we have verified that the following veterinary procedures are current, the vet administers: 1) required vaccinations; 2) Heartworm tests and if positive, Heartworm treatment; and 3) spay/neuter. Austin Dog RescueADR looks forward to making an impact on homeless mixed breed dogs in the Central Texas Area by saving dogs that are in area kill shelters.Welcome Featured Dog Wanted.....fun, loving home for a people pleasing, full of life, 60 pound 3 year old lab mix. Tripp is a great dog who loves people and other dogs. He loves going on walks and would love to have a yard to play in or someone that is looking for a buddy to hang out with at the lake or park. He seems to have learned a few commands in his previous life and knows sit, down, and shake. We also think he may respond to or has been "clicker" trained.
