Rescued Pet Foundation began in 2000 by four volunteers with years of experience finding homes for homeless cats in Los Angeles. Rescued Pet Foundation and its small group of dedicated volunteers pull cats and kittens off "death row" from LA City shelters, pick up cats abandoned with feral colonies, and occasionally take pets from people who can no longer care for them.

H.E.L.P. is a California non-profit organization that raises funds for medical expenses and foster care for animals in the Los Angeles City Shelters. We focus on the sick and injured animals in the LA city shelters who have less of a chance of being adopted. We do not have shelter facilities, and are not equipped to take in your unwanted animals. We highly recommend that you post a classified ad here on Petfinder and find a new home for your animals. We are in desperate need of foster homes and can always use volunteers.

The majority of the animals that come to Much Love Animal Rescue are from public shelters and are in immediate danger of being euthanized. Although we wish we could place each and every animal that is wandering the streets or belongs to an owner that feels forced to give it up, it is not within our power to take them in. However, there are ways that you, the individual who cares, can help...

The Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Los Angeles (spcaLA) believes that animals, as living creatures, have value beyond economic measurement, and are entitled to legal, moral and ethical consideration and protection. The spcaLA's mission is to act as an advocate on behalf of animals and as an enforcer of their rights; to provide for the well-being of the animals of Southern California who are abandoned, injured, subjected to unfair or cruel treatment, or otherwise in need; to cultivate in the people of our community an awareness of the animals whose world we share; to promote a bond of mutual assistance between people and animals; and to instill respect for and appreciation of all living things.
