Lancaster County Animal ShelterThe primary function of the Lancaster county animal control is to assist the Lancaster county residents in resolving problems with stray or unrestrained animals. To accomplish this goal, we can remove the animals or talk with owners and advise them of restraint law and work with them to secure animals. If this approach does not work, the owner of animal may be issued a citation to appear in court for not restraining animal. Fern Hollow FarmOur rescue is operating in memory of Pal. Pal was a blind brittany who entered a kill shelter as a stray. I was a volunteer and it was love at first sight. He sat in a kennel for 20 days and I was determined that on Christmas Eve if no one had adopted him that he was coming home with me. He was part of our family for 9 months until he got very ill. He was always there for me. Despite being blind he learned our house quickly and was one of my best walking partners. At Fern Hollow Farm we try to save dogs like Pal. The ones that are in trouble from being euthanized because there are so many without homes.
