Second Chance Rottweiler Rescue, Inc. is located in Northern California. We are a nonprofit organization recognized by both the IRS and the state of California. We are made up of a small group of volunteers who donate their own time and money to rescue the Rotties. All donations go directly to helping the Rotties and our volunteers take nothing for themselves or for "administrative" expenses. The goal of Second Chance Rottweiler Rescue Inc. (SCRR) is to rescue Rottweilers from kill animal shelters, humane societies and other rescue organizations where otherwise the dogs would be euthanized. The Rottweilers in our care are neutered, spayed, vaccinated, treated for health issues, tested for heartworm and placed on Heartworm Preventative. The foster home will also begin basic training or reinforce training whenever necessary. Our organization will do reference checks and home checks for prospective adoptive families. Our goal is simple, the right Rottweiler for the right home. We begin the adoption process through an Online Application that is available on our web site. We rarely accept personal surrenders but if you are interested in finding a new home for your Rottie we would be happy to place your dog on our web page if you send us a picture and a biography of the dog (preferably via email). http://www.tvpup.com/asecondChance/scrr.html

The Ford County Humane Society was started in 1993 by a group of concerned individuals to improve conditions at our local animal shelter. We continue to be a group of all volunteers who foster animals, work at the weekly Adopt-A-Pet and do education and fund raising activities. There is a membership of about 150 single or family members. Currently the Humane Society does not have a facility of it's own. We board our animals, place them in foster homes or show them for their owners while they continue to live at home. The Humane Society and it's foster homes are licensed by the State of Kansas Animal Health Department. We are a non-profit 501(c)(3) agency.

In 1998 a group of concerned citizens in Iowa County got together to solve the stray and abandoned animal problem. The group had no money just an idea and had one thing in in common, the total love and devotion to animals.
From that very first meeting the Iowa County Humane Society (ICHS) was formed. Over the last two years the society has developed bylaws, incorporated, built a community awareness program and moved into a new (hopefully) permanent facility.

PAWS stands for People for Animal Welfare in the South. The PAWS concept promotes the welfare, protection and humane treatment of animals by uniting rural counties that lack adequate resources to provide for animal care and control on their own. PAWS will help create a centrally located animal care center accessible to all adjacent counties

Seminole-Miller Animal Rescue Team, Inc. or "SMART" is a non-profit animal welfare organization that began in March 2004. We promote the adoption and responsible guardianship of homeless, neglected, abused, and abandoned domestic animals, and advocate the their humane treatment. We strive to prevent animal over-population in our communities through an aggressive spay/neuter program and through educating the public about the importance of spaying and neutering animals.

Dothan Animal Shelter is run by the city of Dothan, Alabama. We accept strays and owner turn-ins from those Dothan residents living within the city limits of Dothan. We must, by law, keep strays in our facility for seven days after they are brought in. After that time, a decision is made whether the animal will be euthanized, brought up for adoption, or left in the stray room for a while longer. Because of the high number of dogs and cats we receive each week, we are forced to euthanize animals regularly. Our ultimate goal is to eliminate the need for euthanasia.
