The Humane Society of Evans County, Ga, Inc. is a network of foster homes located in Claxton, GA. This rescue effort was started in February 2003 in order to combat the terrible overpopulation problem in our community. We have a real desire to help unwanted animals since we don't have animal control or an animal shelter. Our success is dependent on your support. Thanks so much for caring!

We are a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, a small group of outdoor foster areas dedicated to saving the lives of abandoned, stray, unwanted animals in Clay County, WV. We have no facility to house our animals (but are accepting donations to help build one in the future). All of our animals are currently housed outdoors in pens.
We offer a low cost spay/neuter program to our county residents. If you are a citizen of Clay County and are interested in this program, forms are located in the County Clerk's office, at Cunningham Motors and at Bob's Muffler Shop.

Forever Home Rescue and Sanctuary is a home based, no kill shelter and sanctuary. We have a large number of animals in our shelter and many that have permanant residency. Many of our permanant residents are special needs animals, either abuse rescues or have health related issues. We do not place these animals usually and do our best to provide a loving, healthy and happy home for them for their entire life. Our adoptable animals come from our local shelter and the many who are dropped off here. We then do what we have to, to make them healthy, vaccinate them, spay or neuter them, and finally place them for adoption. This is a very costly process as most of them come to us sick
