Vancouver City PoundWe are a city-run, no-kill dog shelter with an active volunteer and fostering program. We spay/neuter all animals before they leave and always have an assortment of great dogs available for adoption. The volunteers often give the dogs blankets at night, so donations of snuggles and anything else that will make the dogs happy are always appreciated. Vancouver's municipally run shelter is a pro-adoption shelter. Dogs that are adoptable or treatable are not put down. Victoria County Humane SocietyOver the years we have found homes for several unwanted and abandoned animals like Rex. He was left tied up behind a house when the owners moved away, with no forwarding address. The neighbors realized after a few days of feeding and watering him that the owners had no intention of coming back.
