The Queens SPCA was formed in October 1994.We are a "no kill" animal protection organization and a firm believer that adopting a pet is a privilege. Just because we are small in stature, doesn't mean we aren't big on love. Each of our adoptable animals is cared for as if it were part of our family.

The S.P.C.A. in St. John’s is one of seven branches in Newfoundland and Labrador. We are operated by a Board of Directors. We are not government funded, but exist through the kind support of many people who make donations and support our ongoing fund raising events. We have over sixty volunteers who work at the shelter to care for the animals and provide them with much needed T.L.C. Our shelter director is a volunteer who has faithfully maintained the operation of the SPCA for over twenty-five years. We have 5 full-time and 2 part-time staff

Project Sphinx is an animal rescue organization in Montreal (Québec). We rescue abandoned animals and find them responsible, permanent homes, where they will have the chance to lead a good life. All the animals available for adoption have been vaccinated, sterilized, and are in good health (health notebook provided). We know their character and disposition perfectly, because they live in foster homes before being adopted.
Project Sphinx is recognized by the government as a charitable non-profit organization dedicated to the protection and welfare of animals. (Registration Number: 863505442RR0001)
