THIS 'LET LIVE' SAFE HAVEN RESCUE has, for over 15 years, rescued, rehabilitated and re-homed abandoned, injured, or "to be destroyed" felines and some canine friends along the way. Each kitty is given individual time and attention (both health and behaviour) to ensure he reaches his best potential, thus giving us the opportunity to best match him with the perfect lifetime guardian.

My 11 year old daughter Jodie, and myself, founded Jodie's Jiggley Piggley Farm
back in September 2002. As long time guinea pig owners, we decided we would like
to take in a few needy little oinkers. Our snowballing project went
from a few small cages on the basement counter, to an entire
guinea pig room that often spilled over to the rest of the house too! Then
came a website, fund raising, publicity planning and even volunteers!
Our little hobby had really taken on a life of it's own.
It is unfortunate that so many guinea pigs need rescuing, but they
are most often considered disposable pets, and are aquired for children,
with little or no commitment from the adults in the family.

We are the Joey Fund, we are a charity run out of an Animal Clinic, we use donations to rescue hurt and abandoned cats. We ask for a donation of $110.00 when one of our rescues are adopted and that donation goes straight back into the Joey Fund account to help us continue our rescue mission. All of our animals go through an isolation program set up by the staff to ensure that they are healthy, socialized and ready for a forever family. This isolation program takes 2 weeks to carry out. We first test them for FIV/FeLV. (Feline AIDS and Feline Leukemia) We will also test for and treat all parasites. They recive a first dose of parasite prevention when they arrive and another before they go home. We give them their full set of vaccinations and spay or neuter them (age permitting). After they carry out their full 2 weeks they are then moved upstairs to play and live in our Joey Fund playroom, filled with lots of toys and climbing trees to occupy their time until a prospective family comes around looking for him/her
