CARES Mandate:
Everyone's dream is of a loving home; our cats are no exception. CARES provides a safe haven for homeless animals and our goal is to find permanent, loving homes for them. The cats in our care receive quality food, shelter, and medical attention. We meet the needs of homeless animals through the assistance of dedicated volunteers, and from private donations. Please help give them a place to belong. (we are a registered charity — #891350274RR0001)

Le Berger Blanc Inc. was born in 1983 to meet the needs for the population to the catches with wandering animals and not having any place to separate itself of their animal when the need was felt some. Then, instead of opening a door in a lane or a country lane and to let leave their animal, they could come to carry it to the fourriere where the animal was likely much more to survive

Over the years we have found homes for several unwanted and abandoned animals like Rex. He was left tied up behind a house when the owners moved away, with no forwarding address. The neighbors realized after a few days of feeding and watering him that the owners had no intention of coming back. Rex now has a new owner and is a happy member of a loving family in Lindsay.

The Queens SPCA was formed in October 1994.We are a "no kill" animal protection organization and a firm believer that adopting a pet is a privilege. Just because we are small in stature, doesn't mean we aren't big on love. Each of our adoptable animals is cared for as if it were part of our family.

Contrary to popular belief, the S.P.C.A. is not government funded. In fact, other than the general fees collected at the shelter, there is no steady source of income for the Society. Only through generous donations, fundraisers and grants are we able to continue paying our monthly bills, staff wages, building upgrades and maintenance, utility expenses, cleaning materials, pet food and supplies, veterinary fees, and all other miscellaneous costs.
