They are noticed by the staff who feel that they have potential and would make a good pet for someone. Sydney Dogs HomeSydney Dogs Home (formerly St. George Animal Shelter Inc.) was established in August 1999. Under the previous owner, the "Pound" was a minor part of St. George Animal Hospital which had been established for almost 50 years. The new owners decided that the "Pound" should be segregated from the hospital so that the homeless and abandoned animals could be looked after and treated in a more humane way.
