Animal Rescue Alliance (TARA)We are an all volunteer group dedicated to helping homeless pets in the Great Kansas City area. Our organization is the result of an alliance between several rescuers in the region who share the same goal of ending animal suffering and homelessness. Our pets are either in foster homes or one of several boarding facilities that we work with. BTHavenBTHaven is associated with the Boston Terrier Rescue Net. We abide by the code of ethics established by the Boston Terrier Club of America, Inc. We will not purchase dogs from puppymills or owners. Our adoption fee is $250 for purebred Bostons Terriers, although this fee may be partially waived for senior or special needs dogs. All animals are up to date on shots, spayed or neutered, housetrained, and evaluated before placement. Although BTHaven is based in Independence, WV, we also have rescue volunteers and groups in most states.
