Almost Home FoundationAlmost Home Foundation was founded by 5 animal lovers. We felt that by creating this organization that we can make a difference and save many lives. We are an all volunteer, registered, not-for-profit 501c3 charity organization dedicated to rescuing stray and abandoned cats and dogs from the villages of the Schaumburg, Hoffman Estates, Palatine, Barrington, Barrington Hills, South Barrington, and Inverness. We also save animals from High Kill Shelters. All of your donations are tax deductible and are used for the animals. Animal Rescue LeagueAnimal Rescue League is a 501(c)(3) non-profit humane organization dedicated to the rescue and rehabilitation of domestic and feral animals, as well as educating the public about the responsibilities of animal care to further develop public awareness regarding care, conservation and the human-animal bond within the community. ARL seeks funding via grants and fundraising opportunities. Additionally we rely on donations from the public to offset the costs of caring for the animals. Because our animals are rescued from abuse or abandonment veterinary care is our largest expense and donations are graciously accepted. Second Chance Pet AdoptionSecond Chance Pet Adoption founded in 1995, is a not-for-profit, all volunteer rescue and foster home organization serving the Northwest Suburbs of Chicago and surrounds. We foster stray, abandoned, sick, or injured cats and kittens primarily. All animals are given routine veterinary care or any emergency care and then placed in private foster homes. Most of our animals are fostered for two weeks before they are available for adoption. This gives us a chance to observe the cat's personality and health.
