Cedar City Animal ControlCedar City Animal Shelter is a small municipal facility. There are two full-time animal control officers and one part-time staff person. The office is manned Monday thru Friday from 9 AM to 1 PM. It is a high-kill facility due to high volume and lack of space. FurEver Friends Pet RescueFurEver Friends Pet Rescue is located in Cedar City, Utah. We are two hours north of Las Vegas and four hours south of Salt Lake City We are a 501(c)3 tax-exempt, non-profit organization After months of fostering for another rescue group, we stepped back and looked at the bigger picture. We realized that there was a huge need for someone to go to the local shelters and take the pets with special circumstances and needs, as these are the ones that are all too often overlooked and are usually the first to be scheduled for euthanasia. These special circumstances and needs include moms with newborns, abandoned puppies and kittens, geriatric or disabled pets, the sick and injured, and pets of undesirable colors and/or breeds. FurEver Friends specializes in the adoption of these pets as well as placement of companion pets with less active adults.
