C.A.R.E. is a not-for-profit organization established under Section 501(c)3 of the Internal Revenue Code. C.A.R.E. is comprised entirely of concerned volunteers. Our goal is to reduce the numbers of animals euthanized due to pet overpopulation in Chattanooga and the surrounding area. We do not have a shelter and presently maintain our animals in foster homes. C.A.R.E. has a spay/neuter program for low income families and for people who take in strays. We also supply pet food via our "Meals on Wheels" program to ensure that pets of low income families receive proper nutrition.

We are Labrador retriever lovers committed to finding good permanent homes for abandoned Labs. Due to the popularity of Labs many wonderful labs and lab mixes are discarded and are in desperate need of new homes. Lighthouse Rescue is dedicated to saving labs and finding them new homes. As an all-volunteer, non-profit organization we rely on donations to help us save more labs! If you would like to make a donation and help an abandoned lab or lab mix, please contact DHGinn@comcast.net.

We are a 501(c)(3), non-profit, rescue organization, based in Chattanooga, Tennessee. Contributions are tax deductible. We focus on rescuing stray, abandoned, and unwanted Australian Cattle Dogs. We primarily rescue from municipal and county shelters in Tennessee, but occasionally assist with dogs from bordering states. Most of these dogs were picked up as strays; some were surrendered to shelters by their former owners; all were at risk of being euthanized before coming to us. We do not operate a shelter. The dogs in our rescue are in foster homes where they interact with humans and other dogs. By using a foster home environment we are able to evaluate these dogs for temperament, and provide basic obedience and crate training.
