South Carolina Awareness and Rescue for Equines, Inc (S.C.A.R.E.)Imagine you were left alone, unable to gather food or water, feeling your life slipping away, because your owner - for whatever reason - places no value on your welfare. The rescues entrusted to S.C.A.R.E. have all experienced feelings of hopelessness and doom. This organization, acting on behalf of the rescues, has replaced hopelessness with hope, doom with destiny. Vision: To ensure that all equines in the state of South Carolina live in a safe, healthy and nurturing environment. Mission: To provide public awareness and education concerning the welfare of equines, and to work with county Humane Society Chapters Animal Control Offices and Law Enforcement Offices in South Carolina to guarantee the welfare and safety of all equines in the state.
