CAsTAWAYSCAsTAWAYS is comprised of individuals who devote their time and energy towards facilitating homes for unwanted pets. The mission of this organization is to match animals in need of a second chance at life with caring individuals willing to create a loving environment and forever home for pets worth saving. Due to situations beyond their control, i.e. death and illness in families, many excellent pets are euthanized or placed in kill shelters. These are the animals that CAsTAWAYS concentrates on. We specialize in felines but do not discriminate against canines. CAsTAWAYS does not have a facility or a nonprofit status. Because of this we are only able to take in a limited number of pets. Dogs Town Coonhound RescueSince turning non-profit we have started planning adoption events and fairs here in Statesville to promote breed-specific rescue and spay/neuter in Statesville, NC and in Iredell County as a whole. Dog's Town Coonhound Rescue is a private rescue and sanctuary located in the foothills of North Carolina for Coonhounds, Coonhound mixes and some dogs of other breeds that have found themselves lost or abandoned in shelters or on the road.
