Ford County Humane SocietyThe Ford County Humane Society was started in 1993 by a group of concerned individuals to improve conditions at our local animal shelter. We continue to be a group of all volunteers who foster animals, work at the weekly Adopt-A-Pet and do education and fund raising activities. There is a membership of about 150 single or family members. Currently the Humane Society does not have a facility of it's own. We board our animals, place them in foster homes or show them for their owners while they continue to live at home. The Humane Society and it's foster homes are licensed by the State of Kansas Animal Health Department.
