Friends of County Animal SheltersFOCAS stands for Friends of County Animal Shelters. FOCAS exists primarily to encourage a strong adoption program for animals impounded in the three shelters operated by the County of San Diego Department of Animal Services. FOCAS is a volunteer, non-profit organization formed to help the lost and abandoned dogs and cats in these public shelters. We are a tax-exempt 501(C)(3) charity. FOCAS has no shelters of its own, but works with the three County shelters: North (Carlsbad), South (Bonita), and Central San Diego. Rosebud Society, Inc.The Rosebud Society, Inc. was founded to help save and place in permanent homes as many adoptable cats and kittens as possible. The majority of our cats and kittens are taken from the local shelters at their request. These are animals that would be euthanized were we not to take them. They are the ill, the injured, and those too tiny to survive in a shelter environment to an adoptable age.
