Alameda Animal ShelterWe are a small but busy shelter located in Alameda, California which is an island located in the San Francisco Bay. We are about a fifteen minute drive from SF and a five minute drive from Oakland. We always have quite a few highly adorable, highly adoptable animals on hand(including dogs, puppies, cats, kittens, bunnies, and more!!!) Island Cat Resources and AdoptionICRA is an all volunteer non-profit organization dedicated to reducing the suffering of the abandoned cat population of Alameda and Oakland, California, through widespread spay and neuter of owned and unowned community cats, and to educate people to their plight. We provide foster homes for our rescues until we can place them into loving homes through our adoption program. We do not have a shelter. On a limited basis, we humanely trap feral cats in order to spay/neuter them before releasing them back to their colonies.
