Auburn Center hours: M-T-TH-F - 9 a.m. - 5 p.m. - Front counter/business office for receiving animals, licensing, trap rental, etc. M-T-TH-F - 10:30 a.m. - 5 p.m. For adoptions and to pick up lost pets W - 9 a.m. - 7 p.m.

Friends of Auburn/Tahoe Vista – Placer County Animal Shelter is the non-profit affiliate of Placer County Animal Services. The purpose of this Corporation shall be to maintain an organization of persons interested in animals and animal shelters. The duties of the Corporation shall include but not be limited to; focusing public attention on shelter facilities and needs; to assist shelter personnel as required; to help improve animal health care, increase shelter hours of operation and adoption percentages; to stimulate gifts of service, endowments, bequests and grants; and to provide community education programs.
