The Sauk County Humane Society is a small rural Shelter that yearly:
a) provides shelter to over 1500 abandoned and stray animals;
b) offers education on safety around pets and responsible pet ownership to almost 2000 local school children;
c) provides animal control and bite quarantine services (over 600 calls a year) for much of our county;
d) provides adoptable animals (over 1000) to the public; and
e) seeks to increase public awareness regarding responsible pet ownership and issues related to humane education.

The mission of The Dodge County Humane Society, Inc. is to promote animal welfare by providing care and shelter to animals in need, by facilitating adoptions and by educating the public.
The Purpose of the Society shall be:
a. To ensure all animals are treated humanely;
b. To find homes for all adoptable animals;
c. To make every effort to reunite lost pets with their owners;
d. To promote spaying and neutering as a way of controlling pet over population;
e. To offer guidance to anyone who asks our help with a pet;
f. To come to the aid of any injured animal;
g. To provide euthanasia when it is determined to be in the best interest of the animal.

Thyme and Sage Ranch, Inc.
is responsible for the care and rehabilitation of well over 300 animals including horses, dogs, cats, rabbits, miniature horses, steer, sheep and goats, plus various birds and small critters. The majority of these animals have either been abused, abandoned or neglected in some manner. While some of the dogs and cats are available for adoption, Thyme and Sage Ranch, Inc. is primarily a rescue sanctuary

The Midwest Animal and Potbellied Pig Association & Rescue (MAPPAR). MAPPAR is a non-profit domestic and farm animal sanctuary, animal shelter dedicated to the well being of all animals, and ending the suffering of all animals. Since MAPPAR began in 1996, we have devoted our resources and time to all help animals.
MAPPAR is a non-profit animal rescue association, which provides sanctuary, food, shelter, and vet care, and necessary provisions to unwanted, abused, and abandoned animals. Since the beginning, MAPPAR has re-homed, and rescued a variety of animals.
MAPPAR currently provides sanctuary for ponies, potbellied pigs, sheep, farm pigs, feral (and many semi-and non-feral) cats, dogs, and other animals. Our focus is to re-home and place animals when strictly screened and suitable homes can be obtained.

The Arnell Memorial Humane Society was founded in January 1995 by concerned citizens and animal lovers. AMHS was named in honor of Roy Arnell, a local neighbor and farmer, whose generosity enabled AMHS to build an animal shelter in Amery, Wisconsin.
AMHS is primarily funded through donation, fundraising activities and animal adoptions. Partial funding is provided by Polk County dog license fees. AHMS is dedicated to the protection of animals by providing information, education and shelter; encouraging adoptions; promoting responsible pet guardianship, and expanding the human/animal bond.

The Humane Society operates the Animal Shelter, located at 316 E. Kent Street. The Shelter receives unwanted, abandoned, and stray animals. Its trained staff is on duty every day to be sure the animals are fed regularly and cared for properly.
