Our mission statement reflects our highest ideals for the organization and for the rabbits. We'll be focusing our efforts on the following five areas:
Rescue: To rescue domesticated rabbits by working cooperatively with individuals, shelters, pet stores, veterinarians, local governments, and other animal rescue organizations.
Adoption: To adopt the rabbits into loving and permanent homes; to facilitate successful adoptions by providing follow-up visits, information and advice to new adopters.

My Name Is Brooke, And I Started This Group Call Animal Rescues. Animal Rescues Consists Of 5 Members.
Our Purpose:
To help Animals out of Danger or Abandoned. Animals Are Not to Be Treated with Disrespect, or Abused in Any Way, And That’s Our Job As The Animal Rescues To Prevent That. Sometimes We Even Take Them Into Nursing Homes For The Elders. These Little Animals Put Smiles On All Their Faces. In Our World Today More And More Animals Are Getting Hurt, Abandoned, Abused, Or Even Killed. Most Of This Is Caused By Animal Testing. 50,000 Animals Are Being Tested All Over The World To Test New Products Every Day. That’s Why It Is Important To Take Care Of Our Animals And Not To Let Them Get Into The Wrong Hands.

Wayward Whiskers is not a shelter. We are a group of dedicated individuals that take animals into our homes until they find permanent homes of their own. We believe that there is a perfect pet for every family. Our goal is to find that family for the animals that have found their way to us. Space is VERY limited in our foster homes and donations are needed. Please email for more information and/or visit www.myspace.com/waywardwhiskers for recent updates.

We've been around officially for two years. We have a shelter in Saginaw County but our office is at the Flint address. We are primarily a dog rescue although we've placed birds and rabbits once or twice. We are an all-breed rescue. We specialize in big, black dogs, and mixed breeds because they are the last to get adopted but we love them all. We are presently self-funded so we could use any help we can get, especially need volunteers. We are a non-profit rescue and have begun the process for getting out 501c3 non-profit license.

We are a private, not-for-profit animal rescue and placement organization. Our main focus is re-homing chinchillas, guinea pigs, and rabbits. We will also help rescue and place dogs, cats, and other furry critters as our resources allow. In addition to rescue and re-homing, we offer community outreach programs for youth groups, schools, etc. We can tailor any presentation to the students' age and size of the group. Public education regarding the need to spay and neuter pets and the humane treatment of animals is one of our top priorities.
