We were formed to help animals in Oklahoma find proper placement. Even though Oklahoma has a large number of animal rescues, too many of them are always full and turn people away who need help finding a home for their pet or a stray they have been caring for. We take in and re-home as many as we can to help cut down on how many are being killed at the shelters. We also provide help to those who work with wildlife in Oklahoma. Finding proper release sites and sometimes homes if the animal is not able to be returned to the wild.

We are a small group of volunteers in San Angelo, Texas who help out purebred animals (dogs, cats, rabbits, horses, etc) in the state of Texas. Because of our small size we had to have some limitations so we decided to help purebred because we are familiar with the characteristics (temperments, needs) of purebred animals. All the dogs live in a home environment and are crate trained so that they will more easily make the transition into their permanent homes. The primary breeds we help are large breeds- great danes, afghan hounds, greyhounds, Irish Wolfhounds, mastiffs, etc, but always have plenty of room for the smaller animals in needed such as Persians, Scottish Folds, Siamese, etc. We also have bird, rodent, and rabbitry experience, and occassionally will take in an owner release horse whom can't be cared for anymore. All our animals must pass temperment testing before being deemed adoptible!!!

Wild Rescue, Inc. (formerly Rabbit Rescue) has been rescuing surrendered rabbits from animal shelters in the Dallas/Ft. Worth area for over 18 years. Our new rabbit friends come in all sizes and colors, some arrive abused, neglected or injured, while others are healthy and bright-eyed - yet all are worthy of life, love, and permanent homes. Over 1,000 of our furred friends have hopped through our doors touching us with their unconditional love and their heavenly spirits. Our goal is to provide excellent and professional rabbit care and medical information to whoever is in need, and to find loving, indoor permanent homes for as many of our four-legged charges as possible.

Due to the growing amount of dog and cat rescues, especially breed specific rescues in our area, we have decided to focus primarily on small animals, such as ferrets, rats, gerbils, hamsters, Chinchillas, etc. We, also, accept some reptiles, such as small lizards. We do not accept large snakes. All size birds are welcome. We realize that there are a great deal of displaced birds and exotics in which the owners are not sure where to turn or go, and we wanted to provide them with a place that they could turn to.
