Countryside Rescue

We have many dogs, cats, rabbits, guinea pigs, and farm animals up for adoption year round. Most all of our adoptable animals have rescued from euthanasia at local shelters and are in need of responsible, forever homes. We temperament test each animal, all necessary shots are up-to-date as well. All of our dogs, cats, and rabbits are spayed/neutered before going home to new families. They are lovable and in need of your love.

Creatures Comfort Animal Shelter

We are two nutty people who love animals and want to help as many as we can. The whole thing started when my fiance rescued a cat, Cinder, from a dumpster. From there we took a friend's sister's rabbit, Simran, because her college roommate was afraid of it. (Simran did enjoy relentlessly chasing the cat even onto the back of the sofa.) Our animal numbers grew and grew.

Critter Adoption Maintenance Program Inc (CAMP)

Who We Are Critter Adoption Maintenance Program We are a NOT-FOR-PROFIT animal rescue. We are in the process of getting our 501C3 We are a small group of people that found a need in our area for a program to rehome small animals. We re-home everything from Dogs and Cats to mice and Reptiles. We strive to re-home for life and stay in contact with our adoptive parents. We provide education and assistance throughout the pets life. Most of our animals come to us directly from the owners whom for many reasons can not take care of the pet any longer. Reasons ranging from lost of interest to divorce and sometimes even the owners death. We ask for all supplies. Such as cages, dishes, water bottles, food, the pets toys, anything we can use to make the transition as comfortable as possible for the animal and the foster home. We use our own homes and also many responsible foster homes to house all of the animals in our program. Only a few animals at a time are accepted into CAMP. That keeps our hands on training and care quality at its best.

Cullen's Archangel RescuE (CARE)

Cullen's Archangel RescuE (CARE) was started in 2003 for the protection and rescue of animals in need. Our mission is to educate the community, help animals in need, decrease the amount of strays in our community, and provide shelter for animals who are in need of adoption, including those who are considered 'non-adoptable'. CARE is a nonprofit, no kill animal rescue group. We are primarily located in and around Columbia, SC. We also have a few volunteers in GA. We try to keep our focus on rescues in SC, NC, & GA, but we do adopt out of state (from NY down to FL). We do not have a shelter and operate out of just a few private foster homes. We are constantly in need of more volunteers and foster homes. If interested, please contact us for more information. The animals need you more than you know!

Cullman County Animal Control & Shelter

We are currently the only Animal Shelter in Cullman County. We are a County Animal Control and Animal Shelter. We accept animals both stray and owner surrender from all of Cullman County, including the municipalities within the county. We mainly take dogs and cats but have been known to take in a little bit of everything. We rely heavily on donations of food, litter, paper towels, vaccinations, wormer, bleach etc. to keep this facility operating at its best. If you are willing to donate any of the above items, please feel free to come by or call. We have a very aggressive adoption program and try to place as many of our pets as possible. We have a few foster homes that care for some of our animals as well. However, we NEED more responsible volunteers in this area willing to open their homes to a foster pet. If you are interested in pursuing this please contact us and speak with Candie. Also we need volunteers on a daily basis for different things. If you have some free time and would like to make a difference in the life a an animal, please contact us. Our adoption rates are $90 for dogs/puppies and $65 for cats/kittens. This price includes the rabies vaccine and the spay or neuter of your new pet. Also whenever available by generous donation, we deworm the pet and give proper vaccines to get you started. This is not included in the adoption just something we throw in for the health of your new pet whenever we have vaccines on hand. Our business hours are Mon-Fri 9 am till 3:30 pm and most Sat 9 am till 12 noon. We do close one weekend a month so we recommend calling before you come on a Saturday to make sure we are here.
