PetSave Foundation's mission is to provide a safe haven for abused and abandoned domestic rabbits, and to provide the public with any information necessary to reduce pet overpopulation, and ensure that the pet/guardian relationship provides a lifetime, loving home for the pet. Animal Rescue and Farm Sanctuary serves as an adoption facility for barnyard animals of all kinds. Horses, Cattle, Potbellied Pigs, Goats, Sheep and others species in need of finding a new home. We believe in rescue and relocation, networking with other shelters and strive to find caring individuals that have a genuine interest in specialty barnyard pets. We accept surrendered animals as long as the prior owner understands that their pet will be placed in a new home. We do not believe in holding on to a large number of animals when there are wonderful families waiting on our list for a chance to have a hobby farm pet of their own

The Humane Society of Truckee-Tahoe works to find homes for adoptable animals in the Truckee/North Lake Tahoe, California area. We follow a strict policy of finding homes for every healthy adoptable animal. We are a non-profit organization staffed largely by volunteers working out of their homes. Because we have no animal shelter, we care for our animals in the Town of Truckee's non-public small animal kennel and through foster care in our homes
