My First Home Complete Rabbit Starter Kit
We are a foster care adoption rescue group. Our rescues were either homeless or abandoned animals and come from all over the country. Unlike many other state, county, city and local groups we are not funded thru government agencies therefore we can take in animals both locally and outside our area. We have no boundaries. Many of our members are active and retired military personnel .After serving in many countries, especially in third world countries, the organization has made a difference in the lives of not only the animals, but the local people who have asked for help and who lives are no better than the homeless animals rescued. All Volunteers are now HSUS D.A.R.T CERTIFIED AND/OR E.A.R.S CERTIFIED. All our cats and dogs are adopted under our parent Organization "Adopt a Rescue Kitty Inc.

MOE-JOEs Family Friends Rescue Inc.
Mo-Joe’s Family Friends was founded in 2005 by Melissa Benfield, who witnessed countless bully breed dogs being over looked in shelters because of their breed type, while their great personalities were ignored. We are a no kill, non profit organization operated solely by donations and the help of volunteers. We are a bully breed rescue, which includes American Pit BullTerrier, Bull Terrier, English Bull Dog, and the French Bull Dog, but even though the bully breeds are our focus we always rescue the animals who have no chance at life, including other breeds of dogs, cats, ferrets, turtles, and well you name it and most likely we have rescued one. All of our animals are in foster homes, where they are kid, cat and dog tested to insure their future homes are a forever home. All of our rescues were saved from certain death from local high kill shelters. Our animals have over come being homeless, emaciated, covered in mange, broken bones, abused, tied to trees and even some have survived parvo. They are up to date on all shots, spayed or neutered, micro-chipped and healthy at the time of adoption.

Founded in 1952, The Central Brevard Humane Society is Brevard County's oldest established animal welfare organization. A no kill for space shelter, CBHS is dedicated to speaking for those who cannot speak for themselves. CBHS educates the community on responsible pet ownership and the humane treatment of animals, advocates for spaying/neutering to reduce the homeless pet population and provides the best quality care to Brevard's abandoned animals by placing them with responsible, caring owners in forever homes.

We are a private care facility who takes in surrenders, rescues and guinea Pigs that needs to be rehomed. We also take in rabbits, and the occasional dog or cat in special circumstances, although we are not really set up or funded to do so very often. We operate solely off of our own funds and any donations that may be graciously given to help us in our quest to make sure that all of the guinea pigs in the central Florida area are in good, loving, forever homes.

bandoned Pet Rescue (APR) founded in 1996, is a 501 ( c ) (3) IRS tax-exempt, qualified charitable organization that rescues and shelters abandoned, abused, and neglected pets, rehabilitates them and finds them new homes. APR is one of the largest no kill animal shelters in South Florida, where volunteers perform the duties of running the shelter operations on a day to day basis. APR is devoted to the welfare of all animals. Most of the over 500 animals are Cats, Dogs, Bunnies, Birds, Parrots, Guinea Pigs, Hamsters, Mice, Rats, Iguanas, and other animals in need of help. While pet over population is declining throughout the country, the number of animals brought to South Florida shelters is increasing. APR's primary goal is to assemble a no-kill community. This is quite a daunting task, nonetheless, APR is making a valuable contribution to the animal community and will continue to do so as long as support is provided from generous donors.

We are a nonprofit organization accepting into its protection any rabbit that has been mistreated or abandoned. The organization does not deny shelter because of disability or illness. All rabbits, after being nursed into optimum health by knowledgeable volunteers and—when necessary—local vets, are spayed and neutered before being placed up for adoption. GRR volunteers screen all adopting families to insure these rabbits will be placed in a secure and loving home.
Gainesville Rabbit Rescue, Inc. is not a shelter; it is solely reliant upon the efforts of its volunteers. The rabbits do not live in kennels, but in the loving homes of foster families who see to it that the rabbits are litter box trained, fed and well cared for, with expenses coming more often than not from their own pockets. GRR serves rabbits throughout Florida, with dedicated volunteers in Orlando, Jacksonville, and Valdosta, GA.

First Coast Rabbit Rescue will accept into its protection any rabbit that has been mistreated or abandoned. The organization does not deny shelter because of disability or disease. All rabbits, after being nursed into optimum health by knowledgeable volunteers and when necessary local vets, are spayed and neutered before being placed up for adoption. FCRR volunteers screen all adopting families to ensure these rabbits will be placed in a secure and loving home. First Coast Rabbit Rescue is not a shelter; it is solely reliant upon the efforts of its volunteers. The rabbits do not live in kennels, but in the loving homes of foster families who see to it that the animals are litter box trained, fed and well cared for, with expenses coming more often than not from their own pockets. For these reasons there is a strict policy regarding our acceptance of rabbits. When bunnies run out of time at local animal shelters, FCRR volunteers take those bunnies. FCRR also accepts bunnies that are rescued by individuals who witnessed their abuse. If you wish to dispose of your companion rabbit simply because it has become an inconvenience, FCRR can provide information to help you find a new home for your rabbit. In cases of extreme emergencies and only if a foster family is open to another rabbit, FCRR will accept rabbits from their owners. In such cases the owners are expected to provide the cage, toys, and other items belonging to the rabbit as well as the funds necessary to have the rabbit spayed or neutered if she is not already. The cost is around $200 per bunny. Due to the impact of so many uwanted and homeless bunnies in the Jacksonville/First Coast area we are unable to accept owner relinquish rabbits at this time. Jacksonville Animal Care and Control will be able to accept your rabbit if you cannot find him/her a home however they are a kil facility and due to the recent tragedy of the Jacksonville Humane Society they may not be able to hold your rabbit for a lengthy period of time. If you feel you need to part ways with your pet due to behavior issues, please try www.rabbit.org for tips on how to manage unwanted rabbit behavior.
