The San Diego Humane Society and SPCA has been serving San Diego County since 1880, providing vital services to animals and people alike through sheltering and adopting animals, providing positive reinforcement behavior training for adoptable animals and for owned animals through public training classes, investigating animal cruelty and neglect, providing adult and youth education programs, sharing animals through pet-assisted therapy and rescuing animals in emergency situations.
A private nonprofit organization that receives no public or government funding, the San Diego Humane Society and SPCA is supported solely by contributions, grants, bequests, investments, proceeds from the Humane Society’s retail store, Muttique, and some fees for service.

We are a team of individuals, mainly made up of veterinary technicians that are dedicated in helping young orphaned baby animals. We work together with several wonderful Hospitals, and Veterinarians in the area, that provide us with excellent help, care and support. . Our doctors specialties include: General Practice , Emergency Practice, and a Board Certified Surgeon. We are trying to provide quality of life to Orphans that would normally be abandoned and left for death or euthinized Due to lake to time, space and effort. We NOW rescue all types of animals from livestock to rodents, we do our best to raise them in to healthy well adjusted animals, then place them is loving homes. For all dogs and cats each animal is spayed and neuter before placed in a forever loving home. We also offer public education in the event that an owner has encountered a problem; which has left an orphan(s) baby(ies) to care for. There are many reasons that babies become orphaned and there is nothing that anyone can do to prevent it, but we would like to offer help and support if this should happen. About 70% of all orphans are normally given a poor prognosis, we try to look beyond that give each baby a chance at life.

Lost and abandoned animals have a second chance at a good life– thanks to the Pet Project Foundation and the San Clemente-Dana Point Animal Shelter. The mission of the Pet Project Foundation is “to enhance the quality of life of all companion animals in a pro-humane manner through compassion, responsibility, education and service. Nowhere is this mission better exemplified than through our ongoing support of the shelter. This special shelter provides food, housing, exercise, medical care, and love for homeless animals until they are reunited with their owners or permanent, loving homes are found.

The Lily Sanctuary was founded in 2003 to honor Lily, a cockatoo, on her 13th birthday. Lily was diagnosed with the avian version of AIDS when she was little and told many times she should be put down. She beat those odds and became the miracle girl. This inspired the creation of The Lily Sanctuary to provide care and help to birds in need.
