During their stay at the shelter, the animals are provided with necessary veterinarian care, vaccinations, food, shelter, and plenty of love and affection. We are the only "NO-KILL" shelter in our area and are supported wholly by adoption fees and private donations. Financial donations are always a great help to us and allow us to help more homeless animals find great new homes. Donations of blankets, toys, pet food, kitty litter, etc. are always welcome and appreciated. We are also in need of foster families for young kittens or puppies. We have pets on occasion that just need a quiet place to recover and rest after an injury. If you are interested in being a temporary foster home to an animal in need please give us a call at the shelter. Foster families are provided with all the food and medical supplies for the pets they foster

Our Mission:
Tri-Valley Animal Rescue, Inc. (TVAR) is a non-profit charitable organization run solely by volunteers dedicated to placing homeless animals. TVAR is the only authorized group for the East
County Animal Shelter (ECAS, formerly known as the Santa Rita Animal Shelter). Through the commitment of our volunteers, TVAR works to ensure
services such as: rescuing adoptable and/or treatable animals at risk at the
ECAS and placing them in our foster program; providing volunteers at the
ECAS by interfacing with the general public and helping with animal care;
providing low cost spay/neuter programs; educating the public about
spaying/neutering and responsible pet ownership; administering vaccinations
to shelter animals; securing donations and contributions; and matching
suitable, responsible new owners with the animals through adoption events.

We have operated an adoption center in Lompoc for the past 20 years. Right now, we have almost 150 cats in residence. While we hope that many will be adopted into loving homes, those cats who aren't adopted will live their lives in a safe, comfortable, cat-friendly environment.

Wee Companions Small Animal Adoption, Inc. is a 501(C)(3) (non-profit group) devoted to the rescue and care of guinea pigs, hamsters, mice, rats, and other small exotics. Our top priority is finding permanent homes for unwanted animals. We are not a veterinary clinic, and nor can we offer financial assistance to the public. If you cannot care for your pet, bring it to a local animal shelter or humane society. We only rarely accept relinquishments, and when we do we request that you make a donation to help care for your pet until he or she is adopted.
