We are a small but busy shelter located in Alameda, California which is an island located in the San Francisco Bay. We are about a fifteen minute drive from SF and a five minute drive from Oakland. We always have quite a few highly adorable, highly adoptable animals on hand(including dogs, puppies, cats, kittens, bunnies, and more!!!) We are the perfect place to look when thinking of adding someone special to your family!

Friends of Auburn/Tahoe Vista – Placer County Animal Shelter is the non-profit affiliate of Placer County Animal Services. The purpose of this Corporation shall be to maintain an organization of persons interested in animals and animal shelters. The duties of the Corporation shall include but not be limited to; focusing public attention on shelter facilities and needs; to assist shelter personnel as required; to help improve animal health care, increase shelter hours of operation and adoption percentages; to stimulate gifts of service, endowments, bequests and grants; and to provide community education programs.

The City of Berkeley Animal Services is a division of the City of Berkeley in the office of special community services.
Animal services provides field services for the cities of Berkeley and Albany and shelters animals from Berkeley, Albany, Piedmont, and Emeryville.
Field services are provided seven days a week (Holidays included) and consist of removing wild life from traps, investigating complaints, investigating dog bites, quarantine animals, picking up confined strays, issuing citations, patrolling parks and other areas, court appearances, giving advice and information, removing dead animals, and other types of calls from citizens.

Your main county animal shelter is located at 600 Aviation Drive in Camarillo, California, on the Camarillo airport complex. The facility was built in 1985 and can house approximately 400 animals. We can accommodate birds, livestock, and exotic animals as well as our most frequent guests: dogs and cats.

The Bunny Bunch S.P.C.R. is a rescue and education organization for rabbits. We focus primarily on rabbits that end up in the shelter system. Our volunteers help by making sure rabbits are provided with hay and fresh veggies while in the shelters. We work diligently on finding good homes for all the rabbits that come through "the system". Cat Love is a program of The Bunny Bunch, a non profit rabbit rescue organization. Cat Love has the same goals and philosophy as The Bunny Bunch; we rescue cats and kittens from local high kill animal shelters, we provide educational materials on pet overpopulation, we spay or neuter all animals prior to placement, we screen all potential adopters to make sure we match the right cat to the right person.

SEAACA (Southeast Area Animal Control Authority) provides animal services within southeast Los Angeles County. SEAACA's Shelter and Animal Wellness Clinic offer pet adoptions, low-cost spay/neuter, vaccinations, microchipping and veterinary services to the public. We invite you to visit SEAACA's beautifully renovated facilities and meet the animals. All cats and dogs over the age of eight weeks are spayed/neutered, vaccinated and microchipped upon adoption (all you add is love!)
