Heavenly Creatures is a registered charity dedicated to the care and protection of Newfoundland and Labrador's animals. Our main objective is to establish and maintain a no-kill complex in the St. John's area. We estimate that it will take us three to five years to raise enough money to construct a fifty-animal complex.

The S.P.C.A. in St. John’s is one of seven branches in Newfoundland and Labrador. We are operated by a Board of Directors. We are not government funded, but exist through the kind support of many people who make donations and support our ongoing fund raising events. We have over sixty volunteers who work at the shelter to care for the animals and provide them with much needed T.L.C. Our shelter director is a volunteer who has faithfully maintained the operation of the SPCA for over twenty-five years. We have 5 full-time and 2 part-time staff

We are a branch of the BC SPCA serving primarily the communities of Maple Ridge and Pitt Meadows. We have cats, dogs and rabbits for adoption and we also have small pets such as hamsters and sometimes small farm animals such as ducks. Our pets are listed here on petfinder site and we strive to keep this listing current. Pets turned in as strays must be held for five days to give the owner an opportunity to reclaim them. If not reclaimed, they can then be adopted.

Due to lack of space and proper care at shelters, we decided to start a rabbit rescue. These little furballs deserve better than euthanasia due to a shortage of good homes. We propose to find those homes.
