CALIFORNIA HORSE PROTECTIONCalifornia Horse Protection began several years ago as Loren and James Hardie's efforts to help horses in need. Until 1999 it was entirely funded by their incomes-- her work as a horse dentist and his as a financial advisor. Interest grew in their work and more people wished to help so the decision was made to create a formal non-profit organization.
