Pet Adoption Services IncPet Adoption Services, Inc. is a non-profit all breed cat and dog rescue organization in New Orleans. Supported by over 20 volunteer members, Pet Adoption Services was founded in 1996, although some of our members have been involved in rescue for as long as 20 years. Our mission is to secure loving permanent homes for homeless, abandoned or abused cats and dogs of all breeds. While awaiting adoption, our animals live in the homes of one of our foster parents. During this time the animals receive any necessary veterinary care, including but not limited to, vaccinations, spaying or neutering and perhaps heartworm treatment. Our experienced foster parents continually assess each pet's personality and temperament allowing us to place adoptable cats and dogs in just the right permanent home. Pet Adoption Services participates in adoption days during which time, potential adopters get the opportunity to meet and spend time with the animals in a "real life" situation. Pet Adoption Services holds several fundraisers throughout the calendar year so that we can continue to meet the needs of homeless animals. Many of these animals are misunderstood or have grown bigger than expected (iguana's and snakes). We try to educate as much as possible are always available for care of these animals. Petsafe Rescue AllianceOur main goal is to find permanent, loving homes for the cats and dogs who are sick, injured, abandoned or unwanted and at risk of being euthanized. Each animal is seen by one of our veterinarians, updated on all vaccines, spayed or neutered, tested for diseases and given a health certificate. Dogs are also put on Heartworm and Flea preventative. Our animals are placed in a loving foster home until a good, permanent home for them can be found. Each pet receives daily one-on-one care and attention while in foster care. We work on training and socialization skills to help each pet be the best they can be. Pine Belt Animal Rescue Adoption CenterPine B.A.R.C. is a no-kill adoption center located on an 80 acre farm in Lamar County, Mississippi. We currently house more then 80 dogs in large fenced in areas.
