A Helping Paw is a no-kill, volunteer run organization dedicated to increasing the human/animal bond and decreasing the deaths of innocent homeless animals. According to the HSUS over 70% of cats & kittens in shelters are destroyed and 60% of dogs. A Helping Paw is a NO-KILL organization. Though we are unable to take in EVERY pet due to space and lack of funding, EVERY pet we take in gets a second chance at life. Our efforts directly benefit kill organizations by lessening the amount of animals at these facilities.

The City of Boston Animal Shelter is run by the City of Boston Animal Control Department. Most of our animals are found as stray animals and some are surrendered to us by their owners for various reasons.
We do the best we can to help our "unwanted" pets find new homes.
