Dons Orphans

Over four years ago, when Dr. Sherry Weaver opened her practice in the Woodstock community, Don's Orphans began. Her vision was two fold, a way to give back medically to animals with special needs, and to continue the generous nature of her late father, Don Sanford.

Dook-n-Dance ferret Shelter

Dook-n-Dance ferret Shelter takes in ferrets that people can no longer care for or just simply don't want anymore. We take in sick, and injured ferrets of all ages. We are a no kill facility. While at the shelter ferrets get whatever medical care is needed and if possible they are adopted out to people who want them and can take proper care of them. Our motto is: This is a place where ferrets can come to learn to dance again

East Haven Animal Shelter

The East Haven Animal Shelter is a municipal shelter serving East Haven, CT. Through the efforts of the Animal Control Officers and a dedicated group of volunteers, our mission is to increase adoptions and teach owners responsibilty for their pets. Unfortunately, we are not a no-kill shelter. The good news is that due to the extraordinary efforts of the Animal Control Officer and volunteers, EHAS has a high placement rate. However , if we fill up, animals will be euthanized due to lack of space. Should that occur, we will place an alert on the top of our web page
