We are a pet rescue devoted to helping Fur kids find their forever homes where they can live happy healthy lives. We believe in treating pets just like a member of the family and even though we get attached to each and every one we help it eases our hearts to know that once a forever home is found that we can help another animal in need.

Greyhound Expressions was shaped and molded from a determined group of individuals sharing the same love and compassion for greyhounds. The driving need to find responsible homes for greyhounds facilitates our mission. We are a certified, non-profit organization that is operated by volunteers. Our monetary efforts are maintained through donations and fundraising. Our volunteers work endless hours helping vet these majestic greyts, doing meet and greets, fostering, and starting the newbie's toward being pets vs. racing entities. If you feel that a hound would fit into your life style, please contact Greyhound Expressions, and we will start you on your way to having a loving ,forever companion.

The Humane Society of Monroe County (HSMC) was founded in 1958 by Monroe County residents who were concerned for the welfare of the companion animals in our community. For approximately 30 years, the society has operated a shelter where stray, abandoned or surrendered animals receive care – food, shelter, medical attention and love – until they can be placed in a permanent home. The society also promotes the humane treatment of animals through education; attempts to re-unite lost animals with their owners, and promote spaying or neutering of pets to control the population of unwanted animals.
