Second Chance Animal Rescue and Adoptions is an organization committed to saving abused and homeless animals and rehabilitating them for proper adoption. Zeke (above) was rescued and is shown here awaiting adoption. Atlanta animal shelters euthanize thousands of unwanted dogs each month, and SCARA rescues as many slated for Death Row as possible in order to offer them a "second chance" at life and happiness. Once the animals are rescued, each is spayed/ neutered, treated with shots, tested for heartworms and, in many cases, brought back to health with essential vet work and surgery.

Weimaraners and people alike! We are the Weimaraner Haven of Atlanta Rescue (or WHOA-Rescue for short) located near Atlanta, GA. We learn about Weimaraners in need from a variety of sources. We find homes for Weimaraners whose previous homes have disappeared. Our dogs live in one of our foster homes, usually for a period of weeks, while we attempt to learn who they really are, what they like, and what their special needs may be. This crucial time with our dogs helps us in finding their forever homes.
