BAD RAP (Bay Area Doglovers Responsible About Pit bulls) is a 501c3 rescue/education group working to make things better for the breed in the SF bay area. We're all crazy about these dogs and volunteer many hours each week to the cause. As part of our rescue mission, we regularly search the local shelters for death-row pit bulls that have 'Super Star' appeal, and as we have foster home openings, place newly rescued dogs into home settings with pit bull experienced volunteers.
While our dogs wait to be adopted, they receive love, vet care, lots of socializing opps, basic obedience training and general coaching in house manners. All are house trained, crate trained, neutered, vetted and given all shots.

The Golden Gate Labrador Retriever Rescue, Inc. (GGLRR) is a nonprofit tax-exempt corporation. The corporation is organized to:
Encourage and promote responsible dog ownership and reduce the abuse and neglect of unwanted Labrador Retrievers through rehabilitation and adoption.
Promote the humane treatment of Labrador Retrievers and accept for placement unwanted Labrador Retrievers, care for them medically, spay/neuter them and place them in caring homes.
Provide educational services to interested public regarding responsible breeding and ownership of Labrador Retrievers.
Essentially GGLRR facilitates the placement of unwanted Labrador Retrievers into loving new homes. We have a spay/neuter requirement for all dogs that we place. If a dog has been abused or needs medical attention, we provide emotional and medical rehabilitation. Individuals who desire to adopt Labrador Retrievers complete an application form and, upon acceptance, are introduced to potential pets. Our purpose is solely to provide good homes for Labrador Retrievers who might otherwise be abandoned or euthanized by their previous owners. Through education we seek to reduce the unwanted dog population and increase responsible pet ownership.
Our services are limited to the San Francisco Bay Area and encompass the following telephone area codes: 408, 415, 510, 650, 707,813 and 925.

Grateful Dogs Rescue: Grateful Dogs, a non-profit organization, was founded over 10 years ago by Michelle Parris, a former SF Animal Care & Control volunteer. She made it her mission to rescue "un-adoptable dogs," i.e. dogs not made available for adoption because they needed some medical help or some behavioral training. Rather than letting these dogs be euthanized, Grateful Dogs saves as many as possible by fostering these special-needs dogs until a loving home is found. One at a Time Rescue is a non-profit 501(c)3 that was founded by a San Francisco Animal Control Officer, Jen Richardson, who wanted go the extra mile for the animals. She couldn't stand seeing neglected/abused animals being put to sleep. She knew that most of these animals only needed extra time and care that the shelter could not provide in order to become adoptable.
