Through our combined efforts, dreams, energies and hopes, we will offer one more no-kill choice for homeless animals. By networking with and through organizations and groups in the animal loving community we will stress the importance of spay/neuter as a priority in making 'no more homeless pets' a reality and a tool in saving feral animals

Richland Area Rescue helps animals in need in the Richland County area of Wisconsin. Most dogs for adoption are strays or surrenders. We hold them for 7 to 10 days to give their owners a chance to claim them. After this time they are put on this site to be adopted.
Just call us or drop us an e-mail and we'll be happy to tell you more about our available animals, give you directions, and set up a time to meet the animals. You need to make an appointment with us so that upon your arrival the animal you are interested in is still available. Please call after 5 PM on weekdays or anytime on weekends if you want to talk to us and not an answering machine.

Richland County Friends of Animals, Inc. was incorporated in 1977 as a no-kill animal organization. We are 100% volunteer and 100% non-profit, existing solely on donations and fundraisers.
We have several adult and older cats looking for a lap to sit on, their very own bowl, and a permanent human companion. All of the cats are altered and current on their shots. We ask a $60.00 donation upon adoption for these cats, and will work out a payment plan if this is a financial burden. These cats are all strictly indoor-only cats; they are not mousers and a home visit is part of the adoption process.
We also offer, for those who are not able to get their cat to the veterinary appointment, complimentary pick up and delivery service to our vet. We are also looking for foster homes for some cats until a permanent home is found – all you add is LOVE.

We are a rescue that helps local and not-so-local animal shelters place their animal in loving forever homes. Most shelters in this country are overwhelmed with animals, not enough space, help or money. We go into these shelters to rescue adoptable animals whose lives are about to be cut short.

We are a Greyhound-placement organization that accepts Greyhounds primarily from the Wisconsin Greyhound racetracks and local shelters. Through a network of local veterinarians, our organization provides full examinations, spaying, neutering, dental care and other needed medical procedures prior to adoption. GPA Wisconsin's Milwaukee and Madison adoption operations rely heavily upon Greyhound-savvy families to act as temporary "foster homes" for ex-racers to make the transition to home life while awaiting adoption. Fostering is a very rewarding activity, where the foster family helps a Greyhound explore a home (most have never seen stairs, patio doors and other interesting things), recuperate from spay or neuter surgery, learn good manners, and best of all, learn that the transition to becoming a pet is journey filled with love. It is through this program we are able to allow each adopted Greyhound to join its new family in the best possible condition. GPA Wisconsin's volunteers work closely with each prospective Greyhound owner, matching them with a dog whose personality is most ideally suited to its new home situation to ensure a lasting, rewarding relationship.
