S.P.C. is a volunteer based group wanting to end the suffering of unwanted and abused animals. Our mission is to educate all adoptive parents and foster parents about the importance of spaying and neutering, vaccines, and flea and heart worm preventatives. Most of the animals that come to S.P.C. are unwanted due to ailments that could have been avoided had their families taken or known of the proper precautions.

Save-A-Life, Inc. is an all volunteer 501 (c) 3 non-profit animal welfare organization created to prevent overpopulation of companion animals through low-cost spaying and neutering, as well as supporting legislation for mandatory sterilization. In addition, SAL also provides foster care, necessary medical treatment for foster animals, and a placement assistance program to help members of the public place their companion animals. On occasion, medical assistance is provided to those individuals who could not otherwise afford to care for their pets. All funding for SAL programs comes from donations and fund raising activities. We have been saving animal lives since 1968!

Second Chance Animal Rescue and Adoptions is an organization committed to saving abused and homeless animals and rehabilitating them for proper adoption. Zeke (above) was rescued and is shown here awaiting adoption. Atlanta animal shelters euthanize thousands of unwanted dogs each month, and SCARA rescues as many slated for Death Row as possible in order to offer them a "second chance" at life and happiness. Once the animals are rescued, each is spayed/ neutered, treated with shots, tested for heartworms and, in many cases, brought back to health with essential vet work and surgery.

Second Chance At Life Animal Rescue was founded by two vet techs who wanted to be able to help the many strays that walk through the doors of veterinarian offices everyday. We will take in as many animals as we can, but our foster space is limited. If we are booked, we will do everything that we can to help re-home your pet or find a place for a stray. It is important for us to also offer education regarding proper animal care including screening tests, preventative care, neutering, and behavior.
