Mid-Atlantic Pug Rescue is a 501 (c)3 non-profit organization . We here at Mid-Atlantic Pug Rescue, Inc. are a group of diverse individuals who have united for the purpose of rescuing Pugs. We come from many walks of life, and have agreed to donate our many and varied talents so that pugs everywhere can live out their lives with comfort, love and caring. We are all volunteers, with no paid employees. Each person serves in the way best suited to their lifestyle and individual skills. All pugs are fostered in private homes, given any vet care needed, and their personalities are carefully assessed to determine exactly the sort of home they need.

North Carolina Schnauzer Rescue, Inc. (NCSR) is a recognized 501c3 non-profit, all-volunteer group of dedicated members who work in North Carolina to rescue, assess through fostering, care for medical needs, and adopt out pure-bred miniature schnauzers.
We also strive to educate the public on schnauzer and other dog issues, and support spay/neuter for all family pets to help reduce pet overpopulation.
Our primary mission is to help these dogs find new permanent adoptive homes, no matter what situation they may have come from—owner turn-in, family homes that can no longer care for them, or shelters where they have turned up as strays.

The Department of Animal Control operates under North Carolina State Laws and the Local Government Ordinance. We investigate dog bites, quarantine animals if required or have them sent to the state laboratory for testing. We control rabies by giving out rabies verification cards and verifying rabies inoculations, and by controlling the stray animal population. Our department also investigates animal cruelty cases and pursues them in court if necessary. Officers handle sick and distressed animals. Our department controls animal overpopulation and strays are picked up and taken to our shelter. They are provided with food, water and warm shelter. Most of the animals in our shelter have never had food on a daily basis, nor the love and attention, they deserve. Our department has a high rate of adoptions and we also reunite lost pets with their owners. NEUTER/SPAY IS THE ONLY WAY!!!!
