LaGrange County Animal ShelterThe LaGrange County Animal Shelter is a small facility that serves the rural community of LaGrange County Indiana. The current shelter is very small and insufficent for the needs of the community. The shelter has two employees. We are always desperately seeking volunteers and donations. Please consider us as you decide to volunteer for community service. We are currently looking for volunteers to answer phones during shelter hours so that paid employees are able to work more with the cleaning and caring for animals. We would also like to find able bodies to volunteer on Tuesdays during the flea market season in Shipshewana to pass out volunteer applications, collect donations, and show pictures of adoptable dogs. Laguna Beach Animal ShelterThe City of Laguna Beach Animal Shelter was created in 1975, by a group of dedicated volunteers - The Pet Responsibility Committee - who lobbied the City Council to purchase the former S.P.C.A. building on Laguna Canyon Road. The Shelter serves the residents of Laguna Beach and Laguna Woods by providing temporary care for lost, stray and sick or injured animals rescued by Animal Services Officers within the city limits. At any one time the facility houses dogs, cats, and kittens, and a smaller number of other animals, such as birds, rabbits, chickens, ferrets, reptiles and guinea pigs. Every animal that comes through the Shelter is held for seven days for reclaiming by its owner. Lake Area Partnership for Animal WelfareHow We Operate: Our group is made up of Lake Area residents who by working together to raise funds have committed to helping homeless dogs receive a second chance at finding a home. We operate by holding fundraisers and receiving donations any donations are gratefully appreciated and tax deductable. We are not part of any publicly run facility so we do not receive funds except those that we are able to raise.. Your donations are used to rescue animals, provide vaccinations, heartworm treatments, heartworm preventative, spay/neuter, buy dog food and much, much more!! None of our group receives compensation for the work that we do. Please help us rescue those dogs in the Lake Area in need of help. We can not continue to do what we do without the public being supportive of us. We do not have a phsyical shelter to house our animals. All of our animals are housed in our own homes. We currently do not have the space for any more fosters at this time. Please do not contact us if you are attempting to get rid of an unwanted pet. Lake County Animal ControlLake County Animal Control is a non-profit orginization, under the control of our local Sheriff's Department. We have a total of 20 kennels for dogs and puppies, and 8 cages for cats and kittens. We try to house animals as long as health and space permit. There are two full time ACO's on duty that share in all the responsibilities that are needed to keep the facility up and running. Our office hours are Wed. - Fri. from 12:00pm - 3:00pm.
