We also are involved in community outreach to help educate the community on the importance of vaccinating, spaying and neutering their pets. Our new facility has been named the Animal Haven, we wanted a name that would reflect a safe harbor for the animals that we were saving from death row shelters as well as a welcoming name for visitors to feel comfortable coming to view the animals. One Home Away Sheltie RescueOne Home Away Sheltie Rescue is a non profit, volunteer organization that helps homeless or abandoned Shelties. Each Sheltie is treated for any medical problems and then spayed or neutered, brought current on all shots, wormed, treated for fleas and ticks, heartworm tested and started on heartworm preventative medication, started on flea prevention medicine, and gromomed. All Shelties are then screened and adopted into safe, loving forever homes. We do not have a shelter facility.
