Humane Society of Davie CountyWe are a small group of animal lovers from a small county in North Carolina. We are a non-profit, tax exempt group which formed ten years ago to help improve conditions at the county animal shelter. We rescue shelter animals and adopt them through our foster care program. We encourage spay/neuter by providing education and financial assistance. We participate in community events to try to educate the public on humane and responsible pet ownership. Our most ambitious project is to build and operate an animal adoption center. We have purchased land for the project and have an aggressive fundraising campaign underway for the building.
