a no-kill rescue group that is dedicated to the rehabilitation and placement through adoption of stray, shelter and owner surrendered animals. All of the animals that we are helping have found their way into our hearts, but we know that they need to find good permanent homes of their own.

We are devoted to rescuing dogs and cats from shelters and to being a part of the solution to pet overpopulation. Rescued animals are cared for in foster homes until permanent placements can be made. We believe spaying and neutering family pets is the primary way to reduce the number of homeless animals. Therefore, no pet will leave our program until that animal has been altered.

As a No-Kill Shelter, every animal that comes to us stays with us until we find it a loving adoptive home. Animal Rescue League of El Paso is proud to be the largest No Kill shelter in our area providing a second chance to over 12,000 companion animals since 1995.
Animal Rescue League of El Paso is a private, volunteer-based, non-profit organization with 501(c)(3) status. We receive no government funding and are not a United Way agency. Our life-saving work is supported solely by the loving contributions of individual donors and small foundation grants.

ADR looks forward to making an impact on homeless mixed breed dogs in the Central Texas Area by saving dogs that are in area kill shelters.Welcome
Featured Dog
Wanted.....fun, loving home for a people pleasing, full of life, 60 pound 3 year old lab mix. Tripp is a great dog who loves people and other dogs. He loves going on walks and would love to have a yard to play in or someone that is looking for a buddy to hang out with at the lake or park. He seems to have learned a few commands in his previous life and knows sit, down, and shake. We also think he may respond to or has been "clicker" trained. He is improving on this house training every day and does well in his crate.
Click here to read the rest of Tripps' bio and to see additional photos!
Check out our April adoptions:
Austin Dog Rescue saves dogs from high-kill shelters in Austin and surrounding areas. These are dogs that were either picked up as strays and impounded or were surrendered to the shelter and were slated for euthanasia. We believe there is a wonderful home waiting for each dog our Rescue Team saves.
