The Noah Program is a 501c-3 non-profit organization that began at Ark Animal Hospital in 1994. Our mission is to provide medical care and treatment to critically injured stray animals and wildlife of our area. Once treated, domestic animals are then put up for adoption and wildlife are released back into the wild. Some of our domestic animals need special homes because they may not have a leg or eye, need daily medications, have a limp, a skin condition or have chronically treated problems. They need exceptional care and love. Their ages range from newborn on up to adult. If you or a friend would be interested in adopting one of these special pets, please contact Ark Animal Hospital at 843-238-1414. An adoption form will be completed before taking ownership. Adopted pets are spayed or neutered before placing if they are old enough. If not then, it will be done at a discounted rate. All cats are tested for leukemia and feline aids and the dogs are tested for heartworms. They are also up to date on vaccines and started on heartworm prevention. There is an ADOPTION DONATION, which helps the NOAH PROGRAM. All cats are adopted to indoor homes only, unless otherwise specified.

The Grand Strand Humane Society takes in animals brought in by the
City of Myrtle Beach Animal Control as well as those
brought into the shelter by members of the community.
We are 100% committed to providing excellent guest service to our visitors
as well as the best care possible for our animals. We employ a concept
known as “social marketing in which we seek to understand why people
feel the way they do about animals and then try to influence
their behavior in a positive manner.

Pet Tender Angels is a rescue started by an individual who loves animals and wants to see no more homeless animals! The dogs and cats in our rescue are off the streets. Strays, ferals, dumped....however they got there, our mission is to get them in loving homes and to educate the public on the importance of spaying and neutering and loving care of your pets. Pets are not material objects. They are part of the family and need love just like humans do.
