Given A Chance Rodent Rescue is a small family run rescue based in and around Allentown, PA. We offer the animals that come in to our rescue a one on one relationship based on the well being of the animal, thus limiting the number of fosters we can accept at any one time into our household. The animals are given large cages and are always housed on Carefrresh bedding.

We are a private foster home rescuing dogs from kill shelters. We get them vetted (including spay/neuter) and then match them with adopters. All meetings are by appointment only. All adopters are prescreened before meeting a dog. Please submit an adoption application if you are interested in meeting any of our dogs. Application, vet reference, and home visit are all part of the screening process. Adoptions are not done on a first-come/first-served basis but rather on what is the best, most appropriate match between dog and adopter.

Open Arms ResQ & Refurral is a home based rescue that deals with all types of animals. While we mainly deal with cats and dogs we are open to take in birds and exotics, including reptiles. We also have many referrals that we will gladly pass along if we can not take the animal in ourselves. All of our rescues stay in the house with us and live as part of the family. We have no kennels and none of our animals are segregated within the house. We are always happy to answer any questions on specific breeds, nutrition or just general education.

The Lehigh County Humane Society is a non-profit, charitable organization, which means all gifts to the shelter are tax deductible. The shelter's goal is to reunite lost pets with their owners and to adopt out homeless pets into a new, loving, forever home. We provide a temporary home until a permanent one can be found. We also provide such services as a low cost spay/neuter clinic, vaccination clinics twice a year, education to the public on the importance of spaying and neutering their pets, and education on proper care of your pets. We also have a cruelty investigator to serve Lehigh County. Any cruelty complaints made are investigated and any action deemed necessary will be initiated.

We are a small group of dedicated foster homes working one animal at a time to bring down the number of homeless companion animals. We work towards quality rescue and placements as opposed to quantity. Our wonderful volunteers all work full time jobs and do this out of the kindness of their hearts. We provide medical care to all of our animals, this includes but is not limited to vaccines, deworming, flea preventative, testing, and of course spaying and neutering(on all cats and kittens, dogs are adopted out with the new owner having the responsiblity).

We are a small group of Rottweiler owners and lovers who are trying to rehome, retrain, and rehabilitate Rottwielers who need it. These are dogs who have been unloved, abused, abandoned, or over bred an thrown away in most cases. Some are owner surrenders from owners who for what ever the circumstances can not keep their dogs. See our site at www.geocities.com/superiorshaven/home.html for more info .

The Hazleton Animal Shelter is working hard to reunite lost pets and their owners, and adopt out any animals that come here. We are dedicated to helping animals find new homes or a rescue to take them. Adoption hours are available 5 days a week. Because of our size, we are unable to accept owner surrenders; all of our animals are lost or stray, and would love to have someone to call their very own. All of our animals must be spayed or neutered as per state law.
