The WCSPCA is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization providing pet adoption. We also have contracts with four municipalities in Washington County to accept and house all stray or unwanted pets. We took in over 3,000 animals in 2004. One of our major goals is to decrease the number of animals coming into the shelter by increasing our spay/neuter assistance programs. If we can prevent unwanted litters from being born, we can substantially reduce the number of animals that are euthanized. If you are interested in helping us reach this goal, please call 918-336-1685 for more information. Visit our website at http://www.wcspca.org

ARF's mission is to provide care for abandoned and abused animals, promote adoption for those in need of responsible new homes, educate the public on animal issues, and promote the spay and neuter of pets as the only solution to overpopulation of unwanted pets.
We are a self-supporting non-profit organization that does not maintain a paid staff. We exist solely on donations and efforts of our amazing volunteers. ARF was started with two individuals rescuing and finding homes for animals. Soon others joined them and ARF evolved. We have successfully adopted out hundreds of ARF rescued animals and have placed hundreds more by networking with individuals and area rescue groups!
At our facility, our animals are not caged. The cats co-exist at Animal House. The dogs live in foster homes and are brought to Animal House to be shown on Saturdays or by appointment. ARF animals are never euthanized unless it is the only humane solution for the animal. They have a home with ARF until homes are found.

Oklahoma Westie Rescue (OWR) is a not for profit organization dedicated to the protection of all West Highland White Terriers. We are staffed with volunteers and all expenses are paid by OWR or through donations. We network with other rescue organizations in order to facilitate any services provided by OWR or any other rescue groups.
Where do our dogs come from? They are sometimes released by their owners, who can no longer take care of them. Some are found in city animal shelters, lost or abandoned in the streets or rescued from puppy mills. We transport them and place them in foster homes. They are taken to the veterinarian for a physical examination, neutering, vaccinations and treatment of any injuries or, illnesses. After medical evaluation and assessment of temperament, the dog becomes available for adoption and is listed on our website. The search for a forever home begins!
There is too much cruelty in this world. If we can alleviate but a little of it through our efforts, then all our time and money is well spent.

PawsPals is a private, non-profit organization whose mission is to provide homes for pets in need of adoption. PawsPals was established in the 1980's by Mayor Tom Elias whose love for animals prompted him and other caring members of the community to create PawsPals in the hopes of bringing new "family members" to people who had the same love for animals he did. Sadly, Tom Elias has passed but his legacy lives on through PawsPals.
Staff members and various members of the community devote their time to ensure that EVERY pet has the opportunity for a good home. With this concept the dream of Mayor Elias and other caring members of the community will continue to flourish.

Broken Arrow Animal Shelter
We are a municipal run shelter. We are a division of the Police Department. WE ARE NOT NO-KILL. Most of our animals are picked up running the streets, getting into trash, causing accidents, viciously charging people, etc. Some are turned in to the shelter because their owner's either no longer want them or they simply can't care for them anymore. Although we are a rather small shelter, we do our best in saving as many as possible. We do work with several rescue groups that pull adoptable animals that were not adopted in the allotted time frame in which we hold them. Strays are held for 5 working days to give the owner a chance to reclaim them. After that, we reserve the right to place them up for adoption, allow them to go to a rescue, or euthanize them.Owner surrenders are available immediately for adoption, rescue, or euthanization. Our animals are given the best possible chance to get seen and get adopted or reclaimed. In addition to posting on PetFinder, we also post in the local newspaper and on the City's website at www.brokenarrowok.gov .
